Damages comes back in July too.

Lost in the shuffle of my anticipation for Breaking Bad, I had no idea that Damages was getting a new season. I heard that DirecTV bought the rights, but all i ever saw was their pretentious commercials claiming it was the "Award Winning DirecTV Original Series" despite FX being the show it won those awards for. On top of that, they only aired the previous 3 seasons. I just assumed they got the syndication rights or something.

The show is literally one of the best written shows ever. People tout The Wire and Breaking Bad, but if you havn't seen Damages yet, i suggest you do so. Glenn Close is amazing in her role of Patty Hewes, and Rose Byrne shows her talents and sometimes outshines the amazing cast that the shows generally brings. It's had Martin Short, Ted Dansen, Marcia Gay Harden, Timothy Olyphant, Lily Tomlin, William Hurt, and this coming season John Goodman.

Show me a show that's had a better cast than this.

The show is about a cut throat lawyer who takes on class action cases and gets entangled in conspiracies that eventually boil over and and threaten to decimate Patty (Close) and Ellen (Byrne) strained relationship.

Make no mistake, there is no good guy or bad guy in this show. It's not black and white like most shows, it's basically evil and pure evil.

All in all, after getting mail from DirecTV about Damages returning, I've been stoked for it more so than Breaking Bad.
